Chia Seed Jam

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup chia seeds

  • 3 cups berries of choice (I used mixed berries)

  • ⅓ cup manuka honey

  • ½ cup filtered water


Preparation

  1. Soak chia seeds in ½ cup water in the refrigerator until it becomes a jelly like substance - 2-3 hours or overnight is best.

  2. Heat berries + honey in a saucepan on medium until soft.

  3. Stir chia seeds into saucepan. Mix well.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool before eating!

  5. Store in refrigerator, in a glass jar, for up to 2 weeks.


Tips

Healthified PB + J

  • Toasted sourdough bread

  • Spread on PB or almond butter

  • Then layer on the jam!

  • Topped with bee pollen for added benefits
